This short five-track clip was made entirely from Yava2 factory presets.

DSOUND
GT Player 2.5.4 (Mac/Win)
Web Clip 1:
Web Clip 1: This recording was done using GT Player 2.5.4's Track Player record function. The guitar is a Patrick Eggle Berlin Pro V played direct into a Power Mac G5 through an RME Fireface 800. I processed the guitar using DSound's Distortion and Chorus stompboxes, with some Blue Tubes processors added as well. The backing track was a loop in Ableton Live 4.04, controlled by GT Player's ReWire Player.

This example demonstrates the music used to accompany the scene from Cold Fear shown in Fig. 3.

GuitarPort RiffTracker

This 40-second clip was recorded very quickly by creating just a few Riffs in RiffWorks. I played my Patrick Eggle Berlin Pro V through the “Smashing” preset in the GuitarPort, and used InstantDrummer in RiffWorks for the rhythms. Finally, I added some effects to a few of the Riffs.

M-AUDIO
Black Box
Web Clip 1:
This clip shows off some of what the Black Box can do. I am using my Patrick Eggle Berlin Pro V directly into the guitar input of the Black Box. I am using a modified version of preset 27, "Maverick" with a fast drum pattern and random filter effect. It is being delivered to the computer via the built-in USB port, and recorded into the included Live Lite 4 GTR software.

NATIVE INSTRUMENTS
Kontakt 2 (Mac/Win)
Web Clip 1:
Kontakt 2's Beat Machine was used to slice up a drum loop, which is heard first in its original form then processed.

Web Clip 2:
A prepared-piano sample from Kontakt 2's piano library is set up with multiple loops and triggered at different pitches (and looping speeds) in this clip. Percussion loops from the factory library are also featured.

DRUMS ON DEMAND
Bass On Demand Vol. 1
Web Clip 1:
With no additional processing, the warm electric bass tones featured in Drums on Demand's Bass on Demand Vol. 1 sit nicely alongside drum and percussion tracks that I created with Spectrasonics Stylus RMX.

This short clip was constructed entirely using presets, audio files, and Live Clips from TrackTeam Audio Tacklebox.

SOUND DESIGN WORKSHOP
Daily Double
Web Clip 1:
The triangle has been copied and delayed a few milliseconds, panned far to the right, and dropped in volume so its effect is subtle. Without the doubling, the original triangle is flatter and more static.
