p12 | Genuine Software ShakePad Download of the Month

Web Clip 1: Here, a saxophone loop is accompanied by ShakePad’s version of chanting.

Web Clip 2: In this clip, a combination bit-crushing and delay ShakePad preset processes a drum loop. Hold is turned off so that the xy-controller settings snaps back to the bypass position.

Web Clip 3: Here, an airy pad is first sliced by eighth-note-triplet gating and then processed by a second ShakePad instance hosting a resonant lowpass filter.

Web Clip 2: This clips begins with a vocal loop. At around the 10-second mark, the loop repeats with Metric Halo ChannelStrip's "Vocal 1" preset applied.

Web Clip 3: This clips begins with an electric piano loop. After four bars, the SC-226 "CP-70 Piano" preset kicks in, but with some extra juice from the plug-in's 12AX7 effect to showcase the distortion that's possible from the tube emulation.

Web Clip 4: This clips begins with a bass loop. At around the 9-second mark, the loop repeats with URS Classic Console Strip's Bass preset applied and with the compressor's gain makeup cranked up.

Web Clip 5: This clips comprises a four-bar drum loop. The loop plays four times. The first time is unprocessed; the second time applies Wave Arts TrackPlug 5's "Punchy Kick" preset; the third time applies TrackPlug 5's "Snare1" preset; and the fourth time applies the "Distorted Drum Loop" preset.

Web Clip 1: In this clip, a former US VP, with the aid of Record’s vocoder, searches for the future.

Web Clip 2: This clip comprises two guitar loops (WAV) and a drum loop (REX) originally at 90 bpm. The first pass (four bars) is at 90 bpm. In the second pass, the tempo escalates from 60 to 180 bpm. The first guitar loop and the drum loop have time stretching enabled, whereas the second guitar loop has it disabled and, therefore, always plays at 90 bpm.

Web Clip 1: Here’s a now-famous speech fragment in its unaltered version, and then juxtaposed with a Chaos LFO randomly selecting loop-starting points.

Web Clip 2: Starting with a single default sine wave, I take Krishna Synth’s frame oscillator through various types of frame-modulation effects.

Web Clip 3: Again starting with a sine wav for illustrative purposes, I use various frame-drawing tools to mangle the waveform.
