MusicWorks Interactive has released the Finale 2008-2009 Tutorial DVD-Level 1 (Mac/Win; $49.95), a video tutorial for MakeMusic Finale 2008 and 2009 notation software. Through more than eight hours of instructional video, the DVD will help teachers, students, composers, orchestrators, and other musicians develop and hone their Finale skills.
Because the tutorial videos run in a custom Flash player, no file installation is necessary other than Flash. The videos are displayed in a clear, large 960 x 600 format. Live-action screen captures and superimposed live videos enhance the videos by demonstrating useful accompanying computer and MIDI keyboard keystrokes.
