Submersible Music has released the PerkinsPack I ($79.99) DrummerPack, which features the work of Stephen Perkins (Jane’s Addiction, Porno for Pyros, Banyan, The Panic Channel). This pack includes drum loops, fills, and kit sounds in funk, punk, metal, and ethnic playing styles.
All content is preconfigured with meta data for use with the DrumCore search engine, which allows you to find content based on feel (straight or shuffle, for example), time signature, tempo, and other musical criteria. The DrummerPack also includes GrooveSets that group related beats, variations, and fills to serve as a construction kit for song creation. The included audio is of 24-bit, 48 kHz quality and was recorded in professional studios.
DrumCore works with all major audio applications, and it supports dragging MIDI directly to tracks in applications that support “drag-and-drop,” such as Sony Creative Software Acid, Adobe Audition, Steinberg Cubase, Nuendo, MOTU Digital Performer, Apple Logic, Digidesign Pro Tools, and Cakewalk Sonar.
PerkinsPack I requires DrumCore version 2 or higher, or DrumCore LT (available for free at Submersible Music's Web site). For more information, please visit submersiblemusic.com.
