Puremagnetik has released two new Micropaks: AmpPak and Model-C.
AmpPak (for Ableton Live 7) is a collection of 17 amplifier and speaker effects designed to be used on myriad instruments and sounds, from drums and guitars to vocals and synthesizers. Each rack includes a selection of effects, from overdriven metal to crunchy glitch percussion processors. This micropak integrates directly into Ableton Live 7 and makes good use of Ableton Live Racks.
Model-C (for Ableton Live 7, Native Instruments Kontakt, and Apple Logic and GarageBand) adds a multisampled Hohner Clavinet to the company's electronic piano line. Model-C offers a multipickup selection and mechanical noise sample groups. The Ableton Live version of Model-C includes a user interface with key release samples and customized amp and tonal controls. The Kontakt version is programmed to make use of Kontakt 3's KSP scripting engine and comes with 50 loops recorded by professional studio keyboardists. All loops are in Live Clip, Apple Loops, and Kontakt format.
