IK Multimedia has made AmpliTube X-Gear (Mac/Win) available as a free download for all AmpliTube 2 Live users and StealthPlug users. AmpliTube X-Gear is an expandable guitar amp- and effects-modeling software system that lets you mix and match all gear models from the “Powered by AmpliTube” line in one host interface. It's available as a plug-in and as a standalone version.
When you integrate AmpliTube 2 Live into X-Gear, you can access the following: 5 modules (Tuner, Stomp, Amp, Cabinet, and Rack effects) instead of 2 modules; double rig with 8 series/parallel configurations instead of a single fixed rig; 1 new Amp and Cabinet; custom amp building for up to 192 different amp combinations; more controls in the cabinet module and advanced Automation; the possibility to integrate AmpliTube 2 Live with other “Powered by AmpliTube” software applications; and easy integration with the StompIO advanced USB floor controller and audio interface.
AmpliTube 2 Live Users may download, install, and authorize AmpliTube X-Gear from the IK User Area at IK Multimedia's Web site.
