Play Pro user interface

EastWest has introduced Play Pro, which offers editing capabilities and additional control over Play-Powered instruments.

Play Pro's editor, which can be used in standalone or plug-in mode, provides user programming and scripting through the included Python programming language. In addition, the editor includes effects, such as convolution reverb and automatic double tracking (ADT). You can import your own samples and create your own Play instruments with intuitive sample mapping and other editing features.

All filters and controllers can be viewed on a single page through the Effects and Modulators section. Routing options include four effects send, an insert bus, and side-chaining for each instrument. Furthermore, Play Pro can control multiple microphone positions for instruments, and it includes the same performance script library used by current Play virtual instruments. Its script editor allows you to build presets; change script execution order; and develop, modify, and test scripts. You can use Play Pro’s mapping editor to adjust key and velocity range, root key, volume tune, pan, and sample start and end times.

Formerly known as Play 2.0, Play Pro is available as a paid download from soundsonline.com.
