Arturia has announced version 2.0 of its Analog Factory (Mac/Win; $249 MSRP) software. The free update (for all registered owners), features numerous improvements and bug fixes.
New features include 3,500 sounds instead of 2,000; presets from the Jupiter-8V, and better effects management. On top of that, it's now VST 2.4 and Cubase 4 ready.
The preset switching has been improved to avoid any problems while browsing presets and playing simultaneously. Other bug fixes include improved loading time; eliminated hanging notes when used within a sequencer; an updated preset database to avoid having presets with the same name and/or sound; and much more.
Analog Factory is available as a Universal Binary and comes in standalone, VST, AU, and RTAS formats. Public beta testing is open beginning September 12, 2007, and Arturia expects to ship Analog Factory 2.0 by mid-October, 2007.
