The Vienna Symphonic Library team has released two Vienna Instruments collections: Saxophones (Mac/Win; from $210 to $475) and Elements (Mac/Win; from $45 to $355). These collections are the first of many upcoming releases to complement the existing ten collections of the Symphonic Cube.

The Saxophones collection includes five instruments: soprano, alto, tenor, baritone, and bass saxophone. It has over 35 GB of 24-bit, 44.1 kHz samples, and it focuses on both orchestral and jazz settings. A number of articulations for jazz and big band are included, such as bends, tongue slaps, growls, screams, extended harmonics, and key sounds. Audio demos are available here.

The Saxophones collection's pricing depends on which library you buy. The standard library is $475, and the extended library is $415. For users of the Horizon Series Saxophones I who have registered the Vienna Instruments Saxophones standard library, the extended library is $210.

The Elements collection features 18 GB of sampled water, metal, glass, and stone instruments: bass waterphone, oversized tam-tam, bottles, glass bells, musical glasses, glass harmonica, 5-octave lithophone, verrophone, and more.

Like the Saxophones collection, Elements' pricing depends on which library you buy. The standard library is $355, and the extended library is $235. For users of the Horizon Series Glass & Stones who have registered the Vienna Instruments Elements standard library, the extended library is $45.
