The latest release from Rayzoon is Jamstix 2 (Windows; $99; XL version: $139), a virtual drummer VST instrument that simulates drum styles and human drummer movements, including such details as drummer limb simulation and triangulation of hand movements.
In addition to realistic modeling, the VSTi offers real-time groove composition; a visual drum kit for editing; a part-based arranger with transition and repetition fills; live loop technology, and drag and drop MIDI export; a bar editor; MIDI controller mapping; a built-in mixer with compressor and 3-band EQ; and a drum sample player with multiple Velocity layers and controllable ambience.
Jamstix 2 comes with 50 styles, including rock, funk, afro-cuban, blues, jazz, electronica, brazilian, breakbeat, country, and Motown, as well as 10 human drummer models.
Jamstix 1 owners can upgrade to Jamstix 2 for $49 and Jamstix 2 XL for $99. For more information, visit www.rayzoon.com/jamstix2.html.
