Native Instruments has released Kore 2 ($559). The new version of the host system offers improved integration with software instruments and effects, real-time parameter control, and new sound capabilities through a library of 500 KoreSounds, which are available in different sound variations, musical styles, and genres. Click for more information.

Likewise, NI has announced KoreSound Packs ($59 each), new sound packs for use in the Kore 2 instrument host system. These KoreSound Packs feature six integrated instrument and effect engines from Absynth, FM8, Guitar Rig, Kontakt, Massive, and Reaktor. Each included sound comes with parameter mapping for the Kore controller, up to eight pre-assigned sound variations for every preset, and a set of musical attributes for the Kore sound browser.

Four KoreSound Packs are available now: Best of Massive, Best of Reaktor Vol. 1, Synthetic Drums Reloaded, and 57 Drawbar Organ. Each one can be downloaded from the Native Instruments Online Shop. If you are an owner of Kore 2, you are eligible for one free download of your choice of KoreSound Pack. For more information, visit www.native-instruments.com/koresoundpacks.info.

And lastly, in coordination with Beatport, Native Instruments has introduced Beatport Sync (Mac/Win), free music playback software based on Traktor DJ software.

Beatport Sync combines music management with basic DJ mixing functions and integration with the Beatport online store. The software features two playback decks; a crossfader section; automatic beat detection, tempo synchronization, and loudness optimization; and support for compressed and uncompressed digital audio. It also offers extensive management tools, such as tag editing; iTunes and iPod integration; and options for playing, archiving, and browsing music files from external storage devices like MP3 players, mobile phones, and so forth.

Download Beatport Sync for free from Native Instruments and Beatport.
