Kong Audio has released its new Chinee Series plug-in called ChineeSuona (Win XP, Vista). The VST plug-in is based on the Suona (the Chinese shawm), which has a harsh, abrasive loud sound. The instrument is used in local Chinese activities like weddings and religious festivals, and some versions of the Suona are used in large traditional Chinese orchestras.
ChineeSuona is made up of two Suonas (one big, one small) with different note ranges. It comes with a 380 MB sampleset (24-bit, 96 kHz) and information about the physical Suona instrument. The plug-in works in VST 2.X-compatible hosts.
