Develop your modeling portfolio with Modartt Pianoteq 2.0 (Mac/Win) piano modeling software, which offers a new soundboard model, improved piano sounds, and a standalone version (Pianoteq was previously available in only AU and VST formats).
Other new features for v. 2.0 include microtuning, a lid position, a pan slider, key release Velocity, MIDI controller assignment, smooth adjustment of parameters during play, two strings in the bass, and a Grand C2 preset. According to the manufacturer, the new soundboard model provides a more mature and acoustically realistic piano sound, with optional mechanical noises, complex interaction of pedals and strings, and percussive impact on staccato playing.
Current Pianoteq users may download the new version for free from www.pianoteq.com. Audio demos and a free 45-day trial version are also available from the Web site.
