Pocketrak CX recorder

Yamaha Corporation of America has begun shipping the new Pocketrak CX ($499). Like its predecessor, the Pocketrak 2G, the Pocketrak CX is a slim recorder with an omnidirectional microphone; however, this unit adds more features, such as an upgraded stereo microphone system and expandability.

The Pocketrak CX supports 16-bit, 44.1 kHz CD-quality WAV files and MP3 recording formats, and more. The recorder also features an onboard speaker, a stand adapter, a large AA rechargeable battery (which allows for up to 40 hours of recording and playback), a peak limiter, variable speed playback, a high-sensitivity 90 degree XY microphone, a 2 GB microSD card, and included Steinberg Cubase AI software.
