TC-Helicon has released the VoiceLive 2 harmony and effects processor. The VoiceLive 2 is a floor-based vocal processor that contains expressive vocal harmonies with up to eight voices that can be controlled via MIDI, guitar or MP3. According to the manufacturer, VoiceLive 2 interprets the singer and adjusts EQ, compression, de-essing and gating automatically to make the vocals sound smooth and produced.
Notable features include stompbox access to six effect blocks, editable parameters, new NaturalPlay harmonies, up to eight voices with MIDI keyboard control or four doubled harmonies, auto sensing of a harmony control instrument, simultaneous use of all effects and an adaptive gate that reduces mic input when you're not singing.
The unit offers a mic or line input with digital-controlled mic gain; a guitar input with auto-mix, guitar effects and transparent pass-thru; a stereo 1/8-inch (MP3 player) input, stereo XLR, 1/4-inch and headphone outputs, MIDI I/O, an expression pedal input and USB connectivity.
