JBL Professional has announced the LSR2300 Series Studio Monitor System, which includes the following equipment: the LSR2328P Bi-Amplified 8-inch Studio Monitor with 160W of amplification; the LSR2325P Bi-Amplified 5-inch Studio Monitor with 85W of amplification; and the LSR2310SP Powered 10-inch Studio Subwoofer with an integrated 180W power amplifier.
According to the manufacturer, monitors in the LSR2300 Series offer smooth, low frequency response and quality imaging by utilizing a large waveguide and the elliptical tweeter aperture that work in conjunction with a 1-inch, silk-substrate, high-frequency transducer. Furthermore, each model in the LSR2300 line is said to produce exceptional sound pressure level.
The LSR2328P 8-inch model provides low frequency extension to 37 Hz; the LSR2325P 5-inch model to 43 Hz, and the LSR2310SP subwoofer provides deep low frequency performance below 29 Hz.
The LSR2310SP Subwoofer includes a 2-channel bass management system with selectable crossover settings and balanced outputs. The LSR2325P and the LSR2328P enclosures include mounting points and are reinforced for safe wall mounting. Transducers in all models are self-shielded to allow use in close proximity to magnetically-sensitive equipment. All models include balanced XLR, 1/4-inch, and unbalanced RCA inputs that allow connection to a a number of playback sources, including computer audio workstations, professional mixing consoles, consumer playback systems, and so forth.
