IK Multimedia has announced GrooveMaker for iPhone/iPod touch—a new app that allows you to create and share electronic, dance and hip-hop songs in real-time.
GrooveMaker for iPhone/iPod touch utilizes IK's “groove generator” technology, making it possible to automatically remix the hundreds of included loops on eight available tracks. In addition, you can use the app to create professional full-length tracks and grooves. Add, remove and replace single or multiple loops as you listen, without stopping the music, and save and export your work to a Mac or PC.
Four GrooveMaker applications are available at this time: GrooveMaker Free (house and hip-hop styles, 125 loops included, 78-125 BPM); GrooveMaker Club (techno, trance and house styles, 189 loops included, 130-135-145 BPM) for $4.99; GrooveMaker Hip-Hop (315 loops included, 80-85-90-100 BPM) for $9.99; and GrooveMaker House (315 loops included, 120-123-125-127 BPM) for $9.99. These apps may be downloaded from the Apple iTunes App Store.
