IK Multimedia has announced its new AmpliTube Fender guitar/bass amp and effects software suite. Made in collaboration with Fender, this amp suite features a collection of 45 pieces of gear, including classic and modern Fender amps, cabinets, stompboxes, and rack effects.

According to IK, AmpliTube Fender is ideal for DAW users and people who are recording guitar for the first time. The amp suite offers  standalone and plug-in software for VST, AU, and RTAS plug-in formats; 12 sought-after guitar amps; 12 original matching cabinets, with nine microphones; 6 signature classic stomp effects and 6 rack effects; the ability to mix and match amps, cabinets, and mics; 5 separate modules (tuner, configurable stomp pedal board, amp head, cabinet plus mic, and rack effects); 2 configurable rigs with up to 32 simultaneous effects; a digital tuner; SpeedTrainer and Riffworks T4 recording software; hundreds of included presets; and more. AmpliTube Fender can be expanded with additional “Powered by AmpliTube” models using AmpliTube X-Gear, and it can be controlled live with StompIO, StealthPedal, and any traditional MIDI controller.

The suite will be available in two versions: AmpliTube Fender ($229.99) and AmpliTube Fender Studio($139.99). Expect it to be available by the end of February, 2009. For more information, please visit amplitube.com/fender.

In addition to AmpliTube Fender, IK Multimedia has announced StealthPedal (Mac/Win; $269.99), a guitar audio interface/software controller housed in a wah-style pedal. According to the manufacturer, you can use the StealthPedal to record, play, and control the included “Powered By AmpliTube” software, or any other MIDI controllable software, with the same feel as a traditional guitar pedal.

This USB-powered audio interface also works as a software floor controller, and features 24-bit A/D/A conversion and 44.1/48 kHz operation. StealthPedal has two separate inputs are high-impedance or line-level instruments, as well as two separate outputs and a headphone output. The pedal also features a volume knob, three LED indicators, low noise input stage, and an assortment of software, including AmpliTube 2 Live guitar and bass amp and effects modeling software (standalone and plug-in), and AmpliTube X-Gear.
