The new Saffire PRO 24 DSP is a 16-input/eight-output FireWire audio interface that features monitoring technology VRM and real-time DSP-powered tracking plug-ins.
VRM (Virtual Reference Monitoring) technology allows the user to mix through a choice of more than 15 different sets of commonly used professional studio monitors and hi-fi speakers, in different acoustic environments and from different positions using standard monitoring headphones.
In terms of the preamps, high-quality digital conversion and JetPLL™ jitter elimination technology ensure pristine audio quality as audio flows between the analog and digital domains.
The Saffire PRO 24 features the DSP-powered Focusrite Studio Suite, compression, gating, EQ and reverb plug-ins for latency-free, professional tracking solutions. Plug-ins are also available in VST/AU format for use within DAW software.
The I/Os include two Focusrite mic pre’s, two additional analog inputs, six analog outputs, ADAT inputs, stereo S/PDIF I/O and two virtual "loopback" inputs for routing digital audio between software applications. There are also front panel 5-LED metering for each analog input.
Focusrite’s Xcite+ bundle is also included. The bundle features Ableton Live 7 Lite, Novation’s Bass Station soft synth and more than 1 GB of royalty-free samples from Loopmasters and Mike the Drummer.
