Roland is now shipping the FP-2, featuring an 88-note progressive hammer-action keyboard, built-in speakers, Session Partner auto-accompaniment technology, and a USB port. The instrument's Sound Control function enhances the lower register, and the 4-band digital EQ lets you further tailor the sounds.

The FP-2’s 64-voice sound engine includes new acoustic and electric pianos, bass, and harpsichord sounds. The Session Partner gives players a choice of accompaniment in a number of styles, with a total of 80 patterns. The Session Partner can supply backing chords, bass lines, and drums with preset or user chord progressions. The FP-2 supports General MIDI 2 and Standard MIDI Files.

The connections include stereo 1/4-inch line outputs, stereo 1/4-inch line inputs, two stereo 1/4-inch headphones jacks, MIDI I/O, a USB port, and damper, soft, and sostenuto pedal inputs. For more information, visit RolandUS.com. (http://www.rolandUS.com)
