Arturia has announced version 2.0 of its vintage synthesizer emulation ARP2600 V. Improvements include a fresh batch of presets created by top sound designers, new Syncrosoft copy protection, better handling of control surfaces when changing presets, and numerous bug fixes. ARP2600 V 2.0 can use MIDI NRPN messages for automation, and it now recognizes RPN pitch-bend range messages. Mac users will benefit by lower CPU usage in Mac OS X and better AU performance, particularly in Digital Performer. Version 2.0 also features a new preset navigation system called SoundMap.

ARP2600 V 2.0 is available for immediate download and is free for registered users. Visit Arturia’s Website for more information, updates and a downloadable demo.
