Bag End Loudspeaker Systems has introduced a self-powered version of the M6 near-field monitor. The PM6 ($898) has a built-in 100W internal amplifier and at 14" x 9" x 9", is very compact. The monitor, which weighs 18.5 pounds, has a six-inch coaxial driver with a one-inch coaxially mounted neodymium magnet and a soft dome tweeter. According to the manufacturer, the PM6 is designed to be used in the near field and is ideal for broadcast, recording studio, and post-production monitoring applications.
