two silver microphones

Lauten Audio has announced three new studio microphones: the LT-381, the FC-357 and the ST-221.

The FC-357 is a solid-state multipattern large diaphragm condenser microphone, which features Class-A electronics and a dual-diaphragm capsule with omnidirectional, cardioid, and figure-8 polar patterns.

Second in line is the ST-221, a small diaphragm tube microphone that comes packaged in a pair. ST-221s have interchangeable cardioid and omnidirectional capsules, military grade vacuum tubes, and high-resolution electronics. According to Lauten Audio, the ST-221 is ideal for recording instruments.

Lastly, the LT-381, which was designed to be a vocal mic, features a large dual-diaphragm capsule, a military grade pentode input and triode output circuit, and variable omnidirectional, cardioid, and figure-8 polar patterns.

These microphones will ship in the second quarter of 2008, and list prices will be announced by March 2008. To learn more, visit www.lautenaudio.com.
