microphone

JZ Microphones has announced the Black Hole SE ($1,895) cardioid condenser microphone. The Black Hole SE has the same design as the first Black Hole, the exception being that the SE has a fixed cardioid pattern and is less expensive.

The Black Hole SE features one large, electrostatic capsule with a single less-center tap diaphragm, patterned variable sputtering, and adjustable backplate. The microphone also has an integrated capsule shockmount. When the Black Hole SE is available, it will come with a five-year warranty.
