Apogee Electronics Corporation has updated the Symphony PCI driver with two new features, VBus and Performance Tuning.
VBus provides unlimited routing possibilities across multiple applications in any Symphony-equipped Apple G5 or Mac Pro. With VBus, you can create virtual hardware buses, which allows you to route audio within an audio application or between different audio applications. For example, it is now possible in Apple Logic Pro to record a submix of multiple audio tracks onto a new audio track.
Performance Tuning allows you to further reduce the latency of a Symphony system. When set to High Performance, latency is reduced to previously unattainable levels.
