Yamaha has announced the Pocketrak 2G ($449), a very compact pocket recorder with 2 GB of built-in memory, USB file transfer, Steinberg Cubase AI DAW software, and more.
The Pocketrak 2G has 2 tracks of CD-quality recording in PCM, MP3, and Windows Media (WMA) formats. In addition, it includes a rechargeable AAA nickel-hydrogen battery that provides up to 19 hours of MP3 recording to internal memory, as well as a built-in speaker and headphone jack. Included in the Pocketrak 2G box is a USB extension cable, stereo earphones, a leather carrying case, a stand adapter, and Steinberg Cubase AI software.
The iPod Nano-sized Pocketrak 2G is expected to ship in April, 2008. For more information, please visit www.yamaha.com.
