Waves and producer/mixer Jack Joseph Puig (JJP) have teamed up once again to create a collection of plug-ins based on renowned vintage gear. This set of plug-ins, the Jack Joseph Puig Collection, features models of rare studio hardware, such as the Fairchild 660 and 670, the Pultec EQP-1A, and the Pultec MEQ-5, as well as an extensive library of JJP's personal presets.

The PuigChild 660 and 670 compressor/limiter (Mac/Win) plug-in features Lateral Vertical mode (MS compression) for optimal stereo imaging; Linked mode and Unlinked mode; Digidesign Icon support; up to 24-bit, 192 kHz resolution; mono and stereo components; and TDM, RTAS, VST, and AU support.

Likewise, the PuigTec EQP-1A program equalizer features four low-boost/cut frequencies; three high-cut frequencies; seven HF boost points; bandwidth control for shaping the high boost curve; Digidesign Icon support; up to 24-bit, 96-kHz resolution; mono and stereo components; and TDM, RTAS, VST, and AU support.

According to the manufacturer, the midrange PuigTec MEQ-5 (Mac/Win) plug-in offers the same tonal characteristics of the MEQ-5, and together with the PuigTec EQP-1A, makes for a great equalization chain. Like the other plug-ins in this collection, the PuigTec MEQ-5 offers Digidesign Icon support; up to 24-bit, 96 kHz resolution; mono and stereo components; and TDM, RTAS, VST, and AU support.

The Jack Joseph Puig Collection is available separately or as part of the Waves Mercury bundle. To learn more, visit waves.com.
