Vienna Symphonic Library has released Vienna Ensemble (Mac/Win)—free Vienna Instruments mixing and host software.

According to the manufacturer, Vienna Ensemble is made for hosting Vienna Instruments, and can be used as a standalone application and as a plug-in (in RTAS, AU, and VST formats) with a host sequencer. The software offers instrument switching, which lets you access instruments within the user interface by clicking on an instrument channel; instrument labeling; total recall of orchestra setups; definable play ranges for multi-instrument setups; inserts for AU and VST effect plug-ins; panning; and more.

Registered users of Vienna Instruments can download Vienna Ensemble at www.vsl.co.at.
