URS has announced the Classic Console Compressor Bundle (Mac/Win) for Pro Tools systems. According to the manufacturer, the effects digitally recreate the bus compressor and limiter of two famous British mixing consoles. The bundle includes the 1970 Compressor and the 1980 Compressor, with two versions of each: a Compressor/Limiter/Side Chain version and a Compressor-only version.
The URS Classic Console Compressors use 48-bit TDM and 64-bit RTAS double-precision processing to avoid internal clipping in the digital domain. The Compressor and Limiter sections, which are independent of each other, feature separate variable Attack, Release, and Threshold controls. The Listen Key allows you to monitor the signal being sent to the Gain Reduction detection circuit.
Everything Bundle version 4.0 owners can purchase the URS Classic Console Compressor Bundle for the introductory price of $699.99 for TDM systems and $349.99 for native systems. This offer expires October 31, 2005.
