Submersible Music has released KitCore (Mac/Win; $49), an RTAS, AU, and VSTi MIDI drum plug-in that was based on the MIDI drum instrument in DrumCore.

KitCore includes an assortment of drum and Latin percussion sounds used by players such as Matt Sorum, Ben Smith, Jon Bishop, Lonnie Wilson, and Luis Conte. The 24-bit, 48 kHz drumkits can be mixed and matched to create unique kits. In addition, if DrumCore or Drumcore LT is installed on one's computer, Kitcore can access DrumCore's MIDI drumkits.

The GM-compatible plug-in offers over 400 MIDI drum files (including beats, fills, variations, and more). For more information and for example drum tracks, visit www.submersiblemusic.com.
