gamelan instruments

Soniccouture has released a new sample collection for Native Instruments Kontakt called Balinese Gamelan ($499). This 24 GB sample library features 24-bit, 96 kHz stereo sampling of 25 gamelan instruments, with up to 20 Velocity layers and over 4,000 samples.

To create Balinese Gamelan, Soniccouture recorded the 25 individual instruments that make up the LSO's Semara Dana Gamelan Ensemble. The library has single and paired Kontakt versions of the Gamelan instruments, grouped as such for a natural, human-like playing sound. The samples include KSP scripting to control Velocity and timing, as well as separate volume and pan controls for fine-tuning.

Check www.soniccouture-gamelan.com for more information and a full list of the instruments included.
