PreSonus has released new software drivers for the AudioBox USB 2x2 audio interface (Mac/Win). These drivers, which are available as free downloads, improve performance stability with the Windows Vista operating system.
What is the AudioBox USB? It is a USB bus-powered audio-recording interface featuring two microphone/instrument inputs with 48V phantom power, two balanced TRS outputs, and MIDI I/O. The AudioBox USB comes bundled with Steinberg Cubase LE 4 software.
In addition, the AudioBox USB offers two preamps, along with 24-bit, 44.1/48 kHz analog-to-digital converters with a 102 dB dynamic range. The compact, durable unit features an all-metal chassis with metal knobs. Because the AudioBox USB is powered by the USB bus, no external power supplies or power cables are needed.
