HumBox VM1 user interface

PowerFX has released HumBox VM1 (Win; $49), a new VSTi sampler/synthesizer plug-in. According to the manufacturer, HumBox VM1 combines vocal samples with synthesis manipulating tools and can be used for scat melodies, solo lines, nonverbal backing vocals, and original sound effects. The plug-in comes with 10 voice banks, 50 vocal style characteristics, and a user interface with volume and pitch envelope settings.

You can use HumBox as an alternative to multisampled vocal libraries, since it uses vocal samples as a sound source for manipulation and effects rather than layered multisampled voice patches. This VSTi plug-in is available as a digital download only. For demos and more information, please visit powerfx.com.
