To celebrate the one-year anniversary of Pianoteq, Modartt is expanding its instrument collection with three new historical instrument add-ons: the Sébastien Erard, the Carl Bechstein, and the François Etienne Blanchet.
The Sébastien Erard is a half grand piano (from 1922) with a warm sound that is equipped with a delicate una corda pedal. The Carl Bechstein is a half grand piano (from 1896) that has a strong and transparent character suitable for both classical masterworks and modern music. The François Etienne Blanchet "Château de Thoiry" harpsichord (from 1733)—and the copy by Anthony Gale (Frampton Cotterell, UK, 1993)—has a sound that is suitable for works about or from the Baroque period.
