M-Audio is now shipping the ProKeys 88sx ($449.95) digital stage piano, which features a lightweight (17 lbs) 88-note keyboard with a semi-weighted action. The instrument offers seven high-quality patches, including a multi-layer, stereo sampled Yamaha C7 concert grand piano, a Fender Rhodes, a Wurlitzer, a Hammond B3, a Clavinet, and a Yamaha DX7. The onboard effects include reverb and chorus. The ProKeys 88sx also doubles as a USB MIDI interface and controller for recording and playback with PC or Mac computers. The instrument is class compliant with Windows XP and Mac OS X.

The ProKeys 88sx has two 1/4-inch stereo headphone jacks on the front, as well as MIDI performance controls including a pitch wheel, a modulation wheel, two footswitch inputs (sustain and sostenuto), and an expression pedal input. The MIDI Out jack can be used to control outboard gear, and the keyboard ships with an M-Audio sustain pedal.
