M-Tron Pro user interface

M-Audio has announced GForce's M-Tron Pro (Mac/Win; $199.95) virtual instrument.

M-Tron Pro features a 3.5 GB sound library with more than 200 tape banks (sample sets), including 19 original M-Tron tape banks that have been remastered at Abbey Road Studios. The virtual instrument also includes 45 new tape banks not found in the original M-Tron; over 700 patches; a set of editing controls and synth-type parameters; vintage-style ensemble and delay effects; a lowpass, bandpass, and highpass resonant filter section; tape reverse; tape half speed; dynamic keyboard control, including filter aftertouch; and more.

The virtual instrument supports standalone, RTAS and VST (on Windows XP/SP2, Vista 32, Vista 64), AU, and RTAS and VST (on Mac OS X 10.4.x, OS X 10.5.x).
