New from Loopmasters is a 3 GB collection of samples recorded by professional jazz musicians, called the Jazz Sessions Collection (£79.95; Mac/Win).
The collection features more than traditional jazz; also included are samples from genres such as nu-jazz and broken beat. The DVD offers up to 3,000 separate WAV files, including such instruments as drums, double bass, fretless bass, solo flute, trumpet, trombone, acoustic and electric guitar, piano, and more.
The single data-DVD package has copyright-free jazz samples, Acidized WAV files, REX2 Loops, and patches for NNXT, Halion, Kontakt, and EXS24. It’s also ready to use with Stylus RMX, Ableton Live, and Cakewalk SFZ compatible samplers.
