CEntrance has announced the AxePort Pro USB Direct Box, a portable recording interface for guitar and bass players.
The AxePort Pro features 24-bit, 96 kHz performance and a USB interface, and it allows you to record your instrument with almost any DAW (Mac OS X and Windows XP/Vista). To start recording, just plug a 1/4-inch cord into the AxePort from an electric guitar or bass (or an acoustic with a built-in pick-up). The unit is small and light, made of aluminum chassis, and is USB-powered, so it is ideal for recording on the road. In addition, the AxePort Pro has a loud headphone preamp and knobs for input and output level.
There's more—it comes with Native Instruments' Guitar Combos amp emulation software; the CEntrance ASIO/GSIF Universal Driver; and accessories, including a belt clip, a 3-foot guitar cable, a 6-foot USB cable, and a velvet carrying pouch. To learn more, visit www.AxePort.com.
