BIAS, Inc. has announced iProRecorder ($0.99), a new audio recording application for Apple iPhone and iPod touch, available from the Apple App Store.
iProRecorder utilizes the iPhone and iPod touch's multitouch user interface, allowing you to record, pause, and play with the touch of a finger. The application has a circular display that includes a counter, progress indicator, and available record time. It records uncompressed files with three audio fidelity settings, with up to 13 hours per GB of recording time.
Other features include a record timer that can be set to designate recording length, a 3-second record countdown, geographic tagging and photos, a circular jog/shuttle playback wheel, accurate recording/playback level meters with visual feedback, and more. You can play back recordings at normal speed, twice the speed, or half the speed. Furthermore, you can transfer files from iProRecorder to a computer, or launch them directly within BIAS Peak Pro 6, Peak Express 6, SoundSoap, and other audio-editing applications.
The iProRecorder application is available from Apple's App Store on iPhone and iPod touch or at itunes.com/appstore (requires iTunes).
