Zoom has introduced several multi-effects pedals, all of which are based on the new ZFX-3 processor, featuring 32-bit processing, 96 kHz sampling, and 24-bit A/D/A converters. The pedals boast a signal-to-noise ratio of 120 dB and a noise floor of -100 dB. In addition, they can change patches in 0.005 seconds.
The G2 Guitar, B2 Bass, and A2 Acoustic pedals include 40 preset effects patches, 40 user memory slots, and a drum machine with 40 patterns. The G2 has 16 models of classic drive tones, while the B2 bass pedal has nine pre-amp/cabinet modeling effects, five stomp box-modeling effects, and three different bass-synth sounds. The acoustic pedal models classic acoustic guitars and acoustic guitar body styles.
The G2.1u Guitar, B2.1u Bass, and A2.1u Acoustic pedals add an expression pedal, a USB audio interface, and are bundled with a copy of Steinberg Cubase LE (Mac/Win) recording software.
The G7.1ut Guitar Console adds a tube in the signal path and includes dual programmable A/B preamp channels. Remote Patch Editor software is available online for future updates.
The G9.2tt Effects Console includes two tubes in the signal path. The tubes provide a Tube Accelerator function that, according to Zoom, adds a pre-overdrive and natural compression, and a Tube Energize function for drive and volume. Twin expression pedals, one with 3D control, can be set to your any control parameter and the dual preamp design gives you A/B channel operation. The G9.2tt also includes an XLR microphone input with phantom-power to take advantage of the included vocal effects and USB audio interface.
