Yamaha has unveiled the HS Series powered 2-way studio monitors. The series includes the HS50M ($249.95), the HS80M ($449.95), and the HS10W ($599) subwoofer.

The 70W HS50M has a 5-inch cone and a 3/4-inch dome tweeter, and the 120W HS80M has 8-inch cone and 1-inch dome tweeter. Both models are housed in bass reflex-type cabinets and have a high frequency response beyond 20 kHz. The inputs include a balanced XLR and 1/4-inch phone jack. In addition to master level controls, each speaker has trim switches that allow you to tailor the monitor's low, mid, and high frequency response for different applications.

The HS10W powered subwoofer contains an 8-inch, 120W woofer and bass reflex cabinet. Connections include dual XLR and 1/4-inch inputs, and three balanced XLR outputs (Mix, Left, and Right). The controls include master level, phase, and low/high cutoff frequency.

Design elements include a black finish and white polypropylene woofer cones that recall the look of the classic Yamaha NS10M. For more information, visit Yamaha.com.
