Tascam is offering the Larry Seyer Acoustic Drums collection for GigaStudio 3 and a tutorial DVD for its 24-track digital portastudio, the 2488. The 24-bit drum-sample library, which features instruments collected and played by Pat Mastelotto (drummer for King Crimson, XTC, and Mr. Mister), features samples of 115 unique drum kits. with 12 variations of each kit. The result is a total of 1,380 kits.
Tascam's 2488 Video Tutorial covers the basics about microphones, multitrack recording, and mixing, then moves through every aspect of recording, editing, and mixing on the 2488. For more information, visit the Tascam Web site.
