Sony has released Acid Pro 5 (Win; $499.95). The upgrade offers a number of new features, including the Media Manager for browsing and tagging media assets, as well as the Groove Mapping and Groove Cloning technologies. MORE. The new Groove Quantization features allow you to morph loops and samples into new sounds.
Other new features include VST plug-in hosting, ReWire device support, folder tracks for project-wide production, tempo-based DirectX effects, disc-at-once CD burning, real-time event reverse, enhanced time stretching and transient detection, a metronome, and bus-to-bus routing. Acid Pro 5 come with over 1,000 new loops and samples, and is bundled with Native Instruments Xpress Keyboards VSTi, which includes B4 Xpress, Pro-54 Xpress, and FM7 Xpress plug-ins.
