McDSP has announced Project Studio 1.0 (Mac; $495), a bundle of five AudioSuite and RTAS plug-ins for Pro Tools LE. The bundle features Revolver LE, FilterBank LE, CompressorBank LE, Chrome Tone LE, and Synthesizer One LE. A pre-programmed iLok is included.
Revolver LE is McDSP's new convolution reverb. FilterBank LE includes the E4, P4, and F1 FilterBank configurations made up of variable-Q parametric and shelving EQs, as well as resonant peak filters.
CompressorBank LE offers the CB4 configuration with emulations of the LA-2A, dbx 165, Fairchild 670, UREI 1176, and Neve 33609 dynamics processors, among others. Chrome Tone LE is a guitar amp configuration that includes gating, distortion, compression, EQ, pre-amp modeling, a cabinet simulator, and spring and room reverb. According to McDSP, Synthesizer One LE offers the sound quality of the original synth, in a straightforward interface with controls for the most often adjusted parameters.
Registered owners who already own two or more of the five plug-ins included in Project Studio can upgrade to the remaining products for $195. The upgrades are only available until March 31, 2006. Windows XP versions are expected in 2006. For more information, visit McDSP's Web site.
