EastWest and Zero-G have announced Nostalgia (Mac/Win; $199) a 1.3 GB virtual instrument collection created by Steve Howell that uses the Native Instruments Kompakt sampler interface. Nostalgia focuses on classic synths, keyboards, and beat boxes.

The list of synths and keyboards is enormous, including many ARPs (2600, String Ensemble, Pro-Soloist, and Odyssey), Moogs (Memory Moog, Minimoog, Taurus Mk1, Opus, and Voyager), Korgs (Prophecy, Trident, Wavestation, M1, MS20, Polysix, X5DR), as well as Crumar Performer, Chamberlin, Clavinet D6, Dubreq Stylophone, Farfisa organ, Fender Rhodes, Hammond B3, Mellotron, Vako Orchestron, Vox Continental, and Yamaha CP70, CS80, and TX81Z.

The drum machine list includes Ace Tone 'Rhythm Ace', Alesis HR16, Boss DR55, Linn LM-1 and 9000, Mattel Synsonics, MXR 185, Sequential Drum Traks, Yamaha DD10, Emu Drumulator, and the Roland TR606, TR707, TR727, TR808, and TR909.

Nostalgia supports VST, RTAS, DXi, ASIO, and DirectSound on Windows machines, and VST, RTAS, Audio Units, Core Audio, and Core MIDI on the Mac. You will need 5.5 GB of free hard disk space and DVD drive to load the library. For more information, visit Soundsonline.com.
