DUY is shipping MagicEQ (Mac; 295 Euros), a statistically-adaptive automatic equalizer mastering plug-in for Digidesign Pro Tools TDM systems. According to the manufacturer, MagicEQ automatically equalizes your mix and lets you adjust the results, making the equalization process fast and simple. The plug-in supports sampling rates up to 192 KHz.

To use DUY MagicEQ, insert the plug-in, play your music, and click on the Learn button. MagicEQ analyzes the music then automatically adds EQ. The results can be adjusted using the EQ knobs.

DUY's Optimal Frequency Impulse Renderer (OFIR) technology lets you render audio with zero-latency, for processing complex equalizations. The Adaptative Spectral Matching (ASM) technology statistically analyses the input signal in real-time. By combining this analysis with the OFIR technology, DUY achieves an adaptive spectral match, allowing the overall mix of one piece to sound like the mix of another piece.

DUY also says that its Historical Audio Statistics (HAS) technology allows the company to make a complete statistical analysis of the spectral contents of the "best and most successful productions in the history of recorded music. The result of this study has enabled DUY to objectively define which are the 'colours' or Spectral Atmospheres that can be found in all the successful music pieces of a certain style, throughout history."
