Synesthesia Corporation is giving away 3 GB of Ludwig Black Beauty samples with every purchase of the Mandala 2.0 High-Def Drum and Synthesizer ($349). Because Synesthesia wanted to get an accurate model of a physical drum, the company sampled a vintage 5” x 14” Black Beauty Snare with Super-Sensitive Snares. The samples are said to have an authentic live sound, complete with reverb and ambience.
The 3 GB sample library, which has approximately 3,000 samples, is available for free with Mandala 2.0 purchases; however, 1.0 users may purchase the sample library DVD for $29.95.
