Zplane has announced an educational discount program for the harmony plug-in, Vielklang. According to the manufacturer, Vielklang creates up to four voices of vocal or brass backup harmony with standard voice-leading and chord progressions and tries to avoid music-theory no-nos like parallel fifths. The latest version of Vielklang, 1.1.1, features compatibility with Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, RTAS support, seventh chords, drag and drop of MIDI into a track, and more.

If you are a student or employee at an academic institution, you may be able to receive 40 percent off the price of Vielklang (regular price is $249). To purchase the plug-in at the academic price, send an image of your student or employee ID to support@vielklang.zplane.de before making your purchase.
