VirSyn has released version 1.2 of VTAPE (Mac/Win), a set of three plug-ins that emulate the sound of analog tape machines. This version makes the VTAPE compatible with the new VST3 standard (Steinberg's Virtual Studio Technology) and provides the plug-ins with new multichannel capabilities.

In addition, VTAPE 1.2 features surround effect delay and independent level control for each tap. Several bug fixes have been made for this version as well: the AU: Flanger position automation now works; the compatibility problem with Steinberg Cubase 4.x/PSP 42 has been solved; and the Delay: Output gain now works as it should. If you have a Syncrosoft Dongle (a Steinberg key), you can try a time-limited demo at VirSyn's Web site.
