RNDigital has released version 2.0 of D4, also known as Dynam-izer.
Although D4's interface matches that of the current D1, it has a four zone compression scheme, which lends to the new name of D4. According to the manufacturer, D4 serves multiple roles in dynamic processing, breaking up audio levels into processing zones so that you can control different levels as needed. It can be used as a compressor, expander, compander, leveler, de-esser, ducker, dynamic restorer, and more—all simultaneously. Combined with side chaining and extensive metering, these control zones make D4 a useful dynamic tool. D4 also features the new Zone Gain Control, which allows you to control whether or not D4 will apply a defined ratio outside of defined audio level zones.
Through December 31, 2008, everything at RNDigital is 20 percent off the original price. To learn more, please visit rndigital.org.
